You need to be careful though - there is an asymmetry. Not many willing to go out to bat for "there are no good interventions at all" - and the fact there are lots of bad ways of doing something does not mean there are no good. Also our ability to intervene changes over time!

I've thought before that the analogy is climate change for the right. Solving it involves big government so they persist in denying it. I don't think genetics of IQ is quite the same, but I know I wish it wasn't as genetically determined as it is.
