Why does
@reason never seem to advocate a pronatalist population policy? Why is it always immigration as the panacea?
We already have gov't policies, taxes, and regulations that inhibit people's freedom to do reproduction and parenting. Why not attack those first? That's the libertarian solution to a 'worker shortage'.

Because that has at least an 18yr time lag, and also b/c immigrants naturally select for more industrious, hard working, and law abiding people; the same is not true for making new natives.

Which policies are you talking about specifically? Increasing immigration is a really easy solution since it’s just getting rid of restrictions instead of actively creating new incentives, which is what most pronatalist policy involves.
