Isn't it obvious that philosophers who are high in Neuroticism (anxiety, depression, pessimism) tend to be anti-natalist, and those who aren't tend to be pro-natalist? If so, why take seriously their pseudo-ethical post-hoc rationalizations for their temperaments?
We shouldn't. We should take seriously the empirical literature of happiness, which optimists seem more open to reading.
