There really are plenty of biodegradable straw options. They are a little more expensive than plastic. So, eliminating plastic straws does not mean eliminating straws. Nice straw-man argument, though. (Couldn’t resist...)

Like many said - reusable straws (durable plastic or metal) are the solution, sure it’s more expensive but you buy one and it lasts longer
