Try medical care in Thailand. Cheap, informal, high quality, no waiting, cash based, lightly regulated. Everything is about 1/10 the US price. Why couldn't Obamacare be more like that? (Answer: insurance lobbyists, over-regulation, litigation)

When I mentioned Thai health care was 1/10 the US price, I meant if you're a foreigner paying cash with no insurance there, it's still way lower than the US 'deductible' even if you do have insurance.
Why have US medical costs increased so much faster than salaries or cost of living?
