Conscientiousness is a statistical predictor, not a guarantee. But it does statistically predict happier marriages, not having affairs, not getting divorced, being a better parent, etc.

How causal do you think it is for better family relationships? I would guess somewhat but would imagine agreeableness - which it probably correlates with - is the more strongly causal factor.
