@primalpoly , you make a perfect case for Bret's need of a rational left. The factions you listed aren't really that diverse. Seemingly, all of those groups could carry on business as usual without ever having to confront any real left wing political principles.

You make a good argument in ethnic terms, but OBLs aren't necessarily left-wing. A good right-wing argument for open borders is cheap, undocumented labor. Gov't wouldn't necessarily be responsible the laborers' well-being, nor that of the citizen workers they displace.
