That's pretty hard to measure. If a woman buys fancy underwear, is that to benefit her, or her SO? If a guy buys a big tv to watch sports, and the woman also uses it for rom-coms, who does the tv "benefit"?

I think that in households with a large difference in one category, there will be a large difference in the other category, since the higher income person probably has less time to devote to household management.

Bureau of Labor Statistics usually is a good place to start, but the most recent data is, I believe, a few years old. And I don't see this current administration doing an updated survey soon.
