You're right, actually. The Tavor is a tiny bit heavier than the M4, but the weight is much better balanced, and the length is much shorter, due to the bullpup design.

Bullpup design is rear-heavy: the balance is worse. Their main advantage is shorter overall length, for a given barrel length.
