The good news is that we do not have to stand by and watch our profession and higher education as a public good be destroyed by wealthy special interests .The Janus case reminds us of what we need to do: organize, work together, and stand up for what is right.

A gov't mandate to join a union amounts to that union being an arm of the state. We can have strong unions without federalizing them.
