If you're outraged by human offspring being separated from parents, maybe also consider what happens with dairy cattle and millions of other factory-farmed mammals per year. All have attachment instincts and intense distress at separation. #sentience
They both have the capacity to suffer. That's the similarity. Or do you think one or both can't suffer?

Was equivalence claimed? One evident distinction we usually make is the assumption that other animals are not morally accountable. It seems ironic that much of the objection to this tweet reduces to a plea to eliminate that distinction by extending exemption to humans.
