I'm not scared of a computer passing the Turing test... I'm terrified that a large percentage of people that take the reverse Turing test can't pass it...

Actually according to Ray Kurzweil, an AI will need to dumb itself down to pass the Turing test in 2029 because by then it'll know so much more than humans and if the AI has an intelligent answer for every question it'll be obvious that it's an AI.

I'm not sure we'd develop that next-level thought-watching ability for robots, due to the highly unpredictable results we could get. Easier to write instructions

That is to say AI will have thoughts of its own, internal representation of self that is different from external representation. It will decide whether or not it would care to take the test. Perhaps AI will demand something in exchange for its consideration.

Have you seen Ex Machina? That movie was amazing, in terms of story, and also in terms of aesthetics and soundtrack.
