Is there good data on who watches beauty pageants? I’m guessing it’s now mostly women. In recent years, #MissAmerica aired during Sunday Night Football. Suggests it may be niche female programming.

And, though I know anecdotes barely count, but in my experience, the female-oriented fashion shows and beauty pageants tend to show somewhat *thinner* models than male-oriented pornography. As if a "guess" is made about a certain beauty standard and that guess overshoots it.
