What do you think is the area where both left AND right are most anti-science? Think my pick would be pedophilia -- evidence points to it basically being a sexual orientation (albeit one it's quite wrong to act on), and people seem to be REALLY morally bothered by that notion.

Interesting. Contrary to what I have read (thought most of the studies showed one parent homes were far less effective at socializing boys), but always open to new data.
Most of those studies of single parenthood 'effects' don't use generically informative research designs, so can't infer causality like twin or adoption studies can.
