What do you think is the area where both left AND right are most anti-science? Think my pick would be pedophilia -- evidence points to it basically being a sexual orientation (albeit one it's quite wrong to act on), and people seem to be REALLY morally bothered by that notion.

Parenting has a huge impact on kids. Enormous amount of science on this.

Show me trait where shared family environment accounts for more than 40% of variance in adulthood, in replicated, genetically sensitive studies.

Behavior genetics is your baseline, but your family/parental environment is absolutely crucial for future human development. Would love to see these studies that say otherwise.

I would argue that toxic environment and unhealthy parenting have dramatic effects while in healthy families, behavior genetics is not overwritten by epigenetics, PTSD and other brain wiring impairment. Predatory adults in a child's enviro ment has a huge effect on kids.

What do you make of evidence that the more adverse events are experienced in childhood, the higher the risk for chronic diseases, addiction, depression,...?

Pedophilia should morally bother anyone. It may be a sexual orientation for the adults, it's not for children. Sexualizing children has a huge effect.
