Why?
China at least takes the long-term view about civilizational longevity, stability, and prosperity. Facebook's political agenda seems more toxic.

Although neither of us are in the in-group to benefit from any of this, I see where you're coming from. Facebook's short-sightedness towards virtually everything is too chaotic to be trusted at this point.
