I wish people would consistently distinguish between the liberal/libertarian Left and the authoritarian/collectivist Left. Just like I wish they would distinguish the liberal/libertarian Right from the authoritarian/collectivist Right. Collapsing these distinctions polarizes.
I used to use SJW to refer to the authoritarian left, but have been told that makes them sad. What term should I use instead now? Neo-Maoists?

We might argue for crazy things like Universal Health Care. But we're working just as hard to draw the conversation back to a universal rights framework (and away from an identity politics framework) as are our liberal/libertarian brethren (and sistren) on the Right.
