I imagine ultimate love as knowing and being known so completely that we are as one, without distinction. Oneness feels much like loneliness, and so I often handle loneliness by viewing it as the result of achieving ultimate love, and by feeling gratitude for my separations.

Disagree. Real love involves each person's mental map of the other including some blank spaces, dark continents, 'here be monsters' zones, and refuges for privacy and mystique.

I think the word 'love' encompasses a lot of things, and we mean differing things by it. I agree with you about how this functions in a relationship; my original tweet was using it in a more psychedelic sense.
