I'd also say that there are quite a few outstanding journalists to go along with those who are not. A strange irony of this period is that people will look back and be mystified at why people didn't listen to the more insightful voices in the press. It's a consumer problem.
The main problem is that the good journalists don't call out the bad. They're complicit in the death spiral of their once-honorable guild.
