Cool! Maybe highlight some ways to improve the far future besides reducing extinction risk. A focus on extinction assumes the future will be highly positive, which given humanity's track record of war, torture, oppression, factory farming, etc. seems tenuous at best.

(The term "existential risk"/"x-risk" technically includes extinction and non-extinction risks, but in the Bay Area, most x-risk EAs focus on reducing extinction, particularly through reducing the risk of unaligned artificial intelligence.)
