  4. Maybe psychology would make better progress if we all just stopped doing 'research' for a year and read all the classic novels & great books that we should have read in college. Compile & systematize their insights rather than ignoring the accumulated genius of history.

    The Baron of Sci-Fi. Alexander Leidenfrost (1888-1961) was a baron in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. He lost his title, his country split through WW1 and he lost the ability to walk after fighting a duel. He nonetheless emigrated to USA & became a visionary sci-fi illustrator.
