It would be nice if when I scroll my feed I see more than the same 20 tweets over and over. Even when I go to “following” I don’t see many different tweets before it loops back to one’s I’ve seen 10 times that day.
I’d be all over a Tesla of they were hybrids. I just can’t justify owning an electric car in CA where they will routinely shut off your power over the summer because our grid is shit. I want options until the government learns how to behave rationally.
Why do I know this? I’ve managed social media for about 10 years. I look at the analytics. I read about how they work. I ran a study on how it works in 2012. While some of it has shifted… some it is just basic programming.
Point being, not everyone is going to see your tweets all the time.
Time of day, topic, type tweet (comment, QT, photo, video) all matter for engagement.
And putting two nearly identical tweets against each other will result in the first one always having higher views.
Let’s add in 100 promoted tweets that I fit their targeting. We are at 17,500 a day.
Now, I only spend 30 minutes a day on Twitter. Broken up over 8 hours…
Let’s do a thought experiment:
I follow 730 accounts. Say the average number of tweets per account is 22 a day. Thats 16,000 tweets I could see just from my followers.
This doesn’t include RT. Let’s say they average 2 RT a day- that’s 1,400 more.

But we are talking about putting the data against other new tweets. It’s not like this is the first time anyone has created a new tweet on that account. There’s already empirical data to put it against. Regardless of the words used in the tweet.
It’s not a “hack.” Please for the love all things holy, learn how to measure the impact of your account.
Pumping up your views and engagements by only talking to your followers isn’t impactful. It’s mind numbing ineffective.
Here is an example on why politicians should not be cultural leaders. They are always late to the party.
Also an example of why cultural leaders should never be in charge. They will always lead you off a cliff.
It’s also important for followers to interact w/ content they like and use the drop down menu to select “see less often” on content they don’t want. We are all reprogramming Twitter together.
But no one outside will hear you. That’s basically what is happening with the locked profile thing. You’re being projected louder to the followers, and Twitter is drowning out the outside noise.
But the noise outside is important.
Think of it this way. You’re in an open arena and you have a microphone. The people in the arena might see and listen to you, but they might also hear the noise outside.
So you close the arena off by making it an auditorium. Now your louder for those inside the auditorium…
It makes sense that it became that, but I don’t think it was like that initially.
It’s going to take awhile to unravel the way the algorithm was manipulated for the benefit of the few to be more equitable to everyone.
But I don’t think that the app is broken because of this…
Back to unlocked. Shocked by the apparent effect.
It would appear from all we learned that Twitter was set up as a hall of mirrors. Or a Truman show. Or the matrix. Take your pick.
Who internally makes it difficult to allow their child to take part in their ex’s wedding?
Who refuses to amend a custody order to allow for longer blocks of time w/ their child?
Who wont allow their child to go to a camp they picked b/c the other parent can’t take part in it?
That’s like saying TV is a reflection of real life in the 1950s. This is just not correct.
While I want to see Twitter become a quality news source to the masses, it’s current state is really mainly activists, want to be activists and those wanting to connect with them.
Twitter is also a reflection of the state of society today in terms of the desperation people feel as a result of poverty, the rising cost of simply living with some kind of dignity, and more.
People are allowed to criticise the model that you influencers use.
I pretty much fly under the radar and at a point where I think the political extremes both need to be brought back to reality. In short, I’m a perfect candidate to do this.
According to @Forbes, #FRESNO is one of the top 10 California cities to live in for 2023.
They analyzed cities by pulling data on key lifestyle factors such as the area’s median home price, personal income per capita, and the unemployment and crime rate.
This. Millennials have been taught this since grade school. I remember specifically thinking that just because someone broke the rules doesn’t mean I should suffer. Terrible lesson too many ppl internalized.
Health Canada will decriminalize the possession of up to 2.5 grams of opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine and MDMA in the province starting Jan. 31 for British Columbians age 18 and older.
Yup, I refused to work with you last year for free.
Yup, I told our client that your product is outdated, not measurable and you are over charging him.
Yup, your design and script writing are absolute trash.
Please kindly get the fuck out of my lane.
