    We have released 3DPeople the first large scale dataset of dressed humans with 3D clothes. It contains ~2 Million frames of 80 people performing 70 actions. For each frame: RGB, skeleton, body and cloth segmentation, normals, depth and optical flow. ➡️

    tbf ... I admit having similar outlook on telepresence in late 90s-00s. I was even trying to convince my urban planning prof that function creates cities and with internet acting like 'wormholes' on the functioning cities they won't be constrained spatially. Did not happen yet...

    Just received an invoice from for 3ds Max 1y maintenance subscription (so just updates for software I already paid and own) for €1200 for a single seat. I guess 2020 is the year I switch to Houdini and Blender for good. Perfect example how to lose a client.

    Apart from the issue of datasets, there's also a problem with reproducing results from teams using compute resources inaccessible to most , if not all, research institutions. I don't really see a viable solution to this.
