    Could lessen the selective pressure on virus to keep hosts more healthy and ambulatory during infection so it could spread and not burn out/burn through the host (human) population and die out. Everyone wants to live forever, really. Or, maybe every gene, à la ?3/4

    Ultimately, it is not to the virus’s advantage to kill so many hosts (not that we have mortality rate yet), & especially not in a short amount of time. That possible two week incubation/asymptotic period while contagious would be a problem, though - okay, 2/3!

    Such clarity. It has been and continues to be so important for us to prioritize scientific research & technological development into vaccine tech & emerging infectious diseases. Zoonotic diseases have a whole new world to explore, thanks to climate change and... ?

    interview w/ -a new pandemic strain novel -a clear & present danger. -we've known about this cluster of viruses for 15 years -don't yet have good vaccines or good drugs that will beat this relative of SARS.
