We honor George Floyd. As a public university, we are obligated to help end inequity and to promote social justice. We draw on the leadership and wisdom of our students, faculty, and staff, many of whom confront racism every day through their teaching, research, and activism.

As you know, I too am a "graduate" today. I am humbled and grateful for these ten years with our incredible Terp community. I will forever remember to be a Terp is to be fearless. #UMDgrad
