Is there a medicine that improves self-control? Currently the only thing I can think of that maybe helps is non-disorienting doses of anesthetics, to reduce the immediate discomforts you incur by not hyperbolically discounting.

Opioid antagonists help some people with some impulse disorders: https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpsyt.2011.00001/full … Disulfiram helps with alcohol addiction. You can also target upstream mood disorders.
