people in their 20s and 30s are more reasonable and knowledgeable than teens and they have only slightly less skin in the game. there's really no reason to look up to the teens as moral authorities
If you're looking for someone who hasn't been socialized incorrectly, teens might be moral authorities precisely because they're less knowledgeable, but then you're still better off looking to children.

But if there's significant preference change associated with puberty, then highly intelligent unsocialized children might have alien values that adults would ignore. What we need is a few good feral children who grew into feral adult jurists.
