For many kinds of work there are three phases:
1. When nothing's working.
2. When it's working, but only your initial users/audience realize that.
3. When everyone knows it works.
Phase 2 is the most fun. Enjoy it while it lasts, because you'll miss it in phase 3.

Explained to my 9 yo how programming works:
1. You have something you want to do.
2. You write code to do it.
3. The code doesn't work.
4. You fix the mistakes.
5. When the program works, you realize your idea was wrong.
6. You fix the idea.
