This is the problem: there’s plenty to criticize, but much of the criticism is dishonest.

What I'm saying is, for better or for worse, our withdrawal from Afghanistan is essentially a bipartisan policy, just as our staying in Afghanistan was essentially a bipartisan policy. You can criticize either, but neither is a particularly well-suited partisan cudgel.

I agree that nearly all of the GOP criticism of Biden's withdrawal is cynical and hypocritical... ...but that doesn't mean it's wrong.
