The vaccine for monkeypox is the smallpox vaccine, which successfully eradicated a disease that killed 300 million people since 1900. It was one of mankind’s greatest achievements, comparable to going to the Moon - which Candace also believes never happened. Sigh.

It is rather amazing that yesterday the sitting President of the United States was fined $2 million for defrauding eight charities, and it barely registered as a scandal.
I tell you what: If Ukraine is auditioning for NATO, it’s doing one hell of an impressive job.
According to the President, he has absolute power but absolutely no responsibility.
Tillerson: Russia obviously poisoned the guy.
Trump: You're fired.
Press: You fired him for saying that?
Trump: No, I fired him on Friday.
Tillerson aide: He wasn't fired on Friday, it came as a complete surprise.
Trump: You're fired too.
My suspicion is that Trump will fire Fauci when he thinks the epidemic is receding and believes he has no more need for him. Then he will proceed to badmouth and scapegoat him. The foundation has already been laid for this.
I'm going to criticize Biden, then I'm going to vote for him, then I'm going to criticize him some more.
I can do this because I'm a citizen, not a team cheerleader.
When you accidentally admit that 50k of your followers were bots.

Hey, @jack why have we lost 50,000 followers in the past week? We see this trend happening to other Pro-Trump accounts as well. Are you silencing conservatives? If so, stop. From, the silent majority.
I continue to be stunned at how kooks, attention-seekers, and slime balls who would barely have been taken seriously 10 years ago have so quickly come to dominate our national stage. It's not even political. It's a kind of moral collapse.
I used to regret leaving the Republican Party after 2016, because it is the logical vehicle for a lot of things I believe in. But I want absolutely nothing to do with the malicious craziness this party has come to embody now.
All these politicians get the vaccine first, because they're "setting an example". Nice of them to start now.
On this day three years ago, I couldn’t go to the grocery store without passing two refrigerated vans full of dead bodies outside the hospital. So yeah.

On this day three years ago, Fauci said it was “wise and prudent” to extend the national lockdown.
We won’t forget.
I love how Trump's guy Oz came from behind as the votes were tallied and this time nobody breathed a word about the election being rigged.
The fact that any Republican would support Donald Trump after this happened is an absolute disqualifier for me, no matter how much I might agree with them about any other issue under the sun. In other words, America First.
Boris Johnson has escaped from Elba, has landed in Cornwall, and is marching on London.
Rogan guest: The earth is flat.
Critic: That’s nonsense.
Rogan: Ok, debate him on my show.
Critic: That would only add to the stupidity.
Rogan: See, you’re afraid. Just more proof that geography has failed us as a science.
I’m a conservative and I will trust a liberal journalist over a right-wing shitlord any day. Why? Because even if the journalist is biased, they are at least trying to tell the truth as they see it, while the shitlord thinks it’s fun to lie and see if you believe them.
I've been a Republican all my life. I am a Reagan conservative, down the line. But it's become painfully clear to me that GOP officeholders today see the red hats as their base, and won't listen to people like me unless I deny them my vote, and persuade others to do the same.
The problem isn't one rude comment or display, which hardly matters. The problem is the ongoing corrosion of our culture into one where boors and bullies are celebrated as heroes. It's cumulative, like water on stone, and the damage is real.
Biden campaign: Please take down dick pics that violate Twitter rules.
Musk: Censorship!
Turkey: Take down the political opposition’s tweets, or else.
Musk: What else could I do?
You may or may not agree with him about every policy issue you care about, but Mitt Romney would have made a good President.

If you're upset by Zelensky in his olive drab fatigues today, wait till you see Winston Churchill wearing his air raid outfit to the White House.
If the Arizona auditors find that the Biden ballots weigh less than a duck, that means they float and thus are made of bamboo, which means Biden is a witch.
I’m struck by how many of our politicians, in the US, like to cosplay this kind of stuff. This is the real deal, and no one ever should wish for it.

The worst thing Trump did was convince a large number of Americans that they are completely justified in acting like assholes.
Changed my voter registration from Republican to No Party today.
I didn’t leave the GOP. The GOP left me.
I am dismayed by the devolution of Congress from a real legislative body into an open mic night for attention-seekers, which basically abdicates all serious decisions to the President. It's a problem that transcends party.

I'm a conservative in favor of lower taxes and regulations. But it is factually untrue that the US "experienced record growth" under Trump. We experienced growth roughly on trend with the previous 8 years - until the bottom fell out. t.co/ooXYdYWHfX

Biden could do a lot of stupid stuff and it wouldn't come close to Trump trying to ignore an election and hold onto power by force.
I’ve watched “normal” Republicans go from saying “Look, everyone knows Trump lost, just let him talk” to saying “Look, everyone knows there was something wrong with the election.”
And amazingly, they got the entire rest of the world to go along with the scheme.
If you’re a Republican who can’t muster the courage to call 1/6 what it clearly was - a riot provoked by the President of the United States to try to intimidate Congress to overturn his election loss - then yes, I question whether you have any business holding political office.
FBI put Manafort under surveillance well before he met Trump or joined his campaign. So no, Obama didn't "put a wiretap on Trump."

I mean, if we hand out too many ventilators, people might prefer it to breathing on their own.
When Members of Congress who voted to let President Trump get away with withholding military aid from Ukraine to extort personal political advantage now turn around and tell you that he and they would have done more to help Ukraine, don’t believe them.
I don't feel bad for all the Trump defenders desperately spinning his nauseating insults to our troops.
They knew what they signed up for.
I'm never going to get used to or stop calling out the fact that the President of the United States is a raving lunatic.

This is terrible, Senator. Perhaps you can rename your book "My Struggle".
I see a lot of “constitutional conservatives” today muttering about how some people are so hung up on the Constitutional transfer of power and honoring oaths of office when there are more important issues people care about like the price of gasoline.
China, you are digging a hole so deep with this, you have no idea.
The only thing I saw was a middle-aged woman being dragged away because she was wearing the wrong t-shirt.
What is remarkable, yet rarely remarked upon, is how no country right now is looking to the US for leadership in this crisis.
You’re right. The plan was to get stuck outside of Kyiv for weeks, leave Odesa completely alone, and lose at least one general per day. It’s going swell.
The real reason NeverTrumpers have a relatively high media profile is that the GOP has either lost or expelled its intelligentsia. They may be a small portion of the party, in absolute numbers, but they are disproportionately its former thinkers, writers, and policy experts.
Lawyer: Have you ever engaged in rebellion against the United States?
Robert E. Lee: Never, sir!

Donald Trump is a sociopath. I don’t even see this as a political statement, per se. Regardless of your politics, if you can’t see this, I don’t know what movie you’ve been watching.
The Republican Party became a joke when it started describing people like me - who voted Republican, worked for Republicans, and donated to Republicans all my life - as part of the "Radical Left".

The odd thing about DeSantis sending Venezuelans like unwanted garbage to "liberal enclaves" is that they are refugees from actual Marxism. They are the real victims that right-wing cosplayers claim to be.

I do wonder, from a psychological point of view, why some people see Donald Trump as so attractive and compelling, and others - politics entirely aside - see him as so transparently full of bullshit. It's like a prism into such different realities.

My advice to young people, and to young conservatives in particular, is to turn off cable TV and read. Read history, read philosophy, read biography, read economics. Read authors who inspire you, and authors you disagree with. And travel. Travel to a country outside the US.
