The idea that “too much” wealth/value creation is a bad thing is a bug the political left needs to patch ASAP. Sustainability matters — it’s possible to borrow against the future at a bad rate — but slow growth (or even regression) as a political aesthetic is super concerning
only aspect where I see this definitively being the case is when talking about the environment + future, it's never about human wealth/happiness/flourishing but the polar bears or baby seals . etc

This is not remotely true, when people talk about climate they talk about coastal flooding, food shortages, refugees, etc, all things that affect people

not talking about climate change specifically although I guess thats the word for all environmentalism these days. Just in general where there's a lot of "it would be better for the Earth if humans weren't around or if there were less" or other similar anti-natalist positions
