Congrats. You are now a solid "pro" on http://web.com tour. You "won" 150k. Spent 129k on airfare, hotels, food, and caddie. Don't forget the 35k (14k in cc debt) you spent on expenses for your fam at home whom you saw for 8 weeks this year. Free clubs and clothes tho!
meh if you're taking equivalent in basketball (G-league), soccer (lower leagues), etc its similarly shitty. Assuming he means at the top level and being reasonably successful

My point was that only the very elite in golf make money that is "very lucrative". The 200th highest earner on PGA TOUR made 174k. 200th in NBA = 5 million. 200th in MLB = 6.4 million Travel expenses dont matter much with those salaries, but I believe they are covered unlike golf
