I suspect we are also quicker to turn on ppl with those "natural gifts"/less forgiving of their mistakes. To circle back, this may be part of the increasing disillusionment with Musk as the mask peels off and his autistic genius side becomes more and more revealed under pressure

I think it’s more the fact he still hasn’t figured out 6,000 cars in a month 5 years later. His erratic behavior would be ignored if his perceived genius was a reality
