He uses it for beauty but it can be applied to many other things. Genius for example. We admire geniuses but we hold them at arms' lengths. We prefer that people get there through hard work and determination or were lucky "outliers."

I suspect we are also quicker to turn on ppl with those "natural gifts"/less forgiving of their mistakes. To circle back, this may be part of the increasing disillusionment with Musk as the mask peels off and his autistic genius side becomes more and more revealed under pressure
