Complex issue and don't like getting into it bc it ends up being a religious debate but essentially I'm a human maximalist. Eating meat is optimal for human health and I hold human flourishing as my highest standard/aim.

Human supremacy seems much easier and intuitive to rationalize than believing that the lives of crickets have comparable value to human lives. Reductio ad absurdum on Singer's beliefs will lead to conclusions no one except Singer would defend.
