I wrote about game theory in the current cryptocurrency markets: https://medium.com/@pratyushbuddiga/the-game-of-sentiment-in-crypto-a-decoupling-a3931b6b29d0 …. Will Bitcoin decouple from alts or is this just a classical, but temporary lull before "alt season?"

Trading this market requires a rigid focus on money flows rather than fundamental narratives. While more of the market has shifted their focus to Bitcoin, it remains to be seen whether the next large wave of capital (institutional) will B&H BTC or allocate to large-cap alts.

Logically wouldn’t make sense for institutions to buy alts as we would assume they buy the best brunette, but greed is too powerful of an attraction for them to miss out on the upside of alts. They missed out and will develop/have fomo. But retail will probably drive alts fomo.

We’ve seen institutions buy anything under the sun to make money. Crypto isn’t any different. Bullish on institutions buying shit.

Biggest thing for me is it would be very bad for the narrative to shift to Bitcoin maximalism in the short-term. Hedge funds + SV are up to their eyeballs in ICOs/private projects. Big altcoin holders are also likely severely underwater on their positions.

That is "bad" for the Missionaries. Everyone is incentivized to keep pushing the "future" of blockchain as these other projects. The story will break eventually but not right now. Eg: even if Eth fails to scale, people can look to alternatives as the solution and so on...
