Republicans hate "cancel culture" and love "the invisible hand of the market" which is weird because they're the exact same thing

They are pretty much opposites. Cancel culture is saying diversity (of opinion) is bad. Markets are about saying a (properly functioning) market combined diverse things (ideas, companies, countries, etc) to produce something better than could be done too down
Of course markets can be dysfunctional and collapse to monopoly or reward the wrong behavior, but the core idea is "diversity is good, authoritarian control is bad".
