1/2 Every Province runs their own health care system under the umbrella of Health Canada. Wait times, quality and infrastructure depends on the health care provider that you go to. Also, population density can affect. In here you are generalizing.

2/2 If we talk about personal or individual experiences, a close relative living in the US, was sent to home after the health insurance run out...passed away the following day at home. The Health Care Industry in the US, just like big Pharma, their main focus is $$$.

The Canadian Universal Health Care system was created in a way that even the poorest can have access to medical service. Obviously, if you have enough money to spare, you have the option of traveling anywhere in the world to seek whatever suits your needs

We have long waits for medical services. Frequently many months. After the pandemic, the waits will be even longer.

I lived along the border of Maine and New Brunswick, Canada. Some of the local hospitals have been closed, making access to a hospital a longer time frame for many. Lots of Canadians come to the US to get healthcare because they don't have to wait. Taxes in Canada are crazy.

In fairness, and I am a conservative, waiting for healthcare you couldn’t otherwise afford is better than not receiving it at all. Finding a balance between national and private healthcare seems a worthy pursuit.

You can't afford healthcare because government involvement. Our healthcare market is about as free market as the USSR. The biggest thing we could do currently to lower prices is require hospitals to post the exact cost of any procedure in dollars. Need competition!!
