wind and solar are brittle also. they break down in almost any major weather event. Puerto Rico lost 90%+ plus of its solar after hurricane Maria and Japan lost a floating solar plant which burned toxic plastic for days after a typhoon last year.
Haven't heard this, how awful! Dang, it'd be great to have clean energy with absolutely zero impact...
