Everyone lost faith in the lassiz fair market system because it proved that financial deregulation has caused more financial crisis and recessions that always makes people lose their jobs and increase poverty. Letting the market be "free" doesnt work. It has failed.

Sax you've never seen a free market. Most of the planet has never had one. The central banks took over and only left behind the illusion of one. That being said, socialism within that construct won't fair you any better. It remains within those boundaries.

That's a dangerous game. Let me remind you that you can be for a free market "within" the US market. But when you play at global level; China, Europe, Japan, South America... They all try to save their economy and play with those rules.

If you let your market go down, Chinese/arab/russian... investment funds will come and pick up the pieces. You don't want you industries mainly in the end of foreign super powers. Protectionism is also a (geo)strategical move.
