This needs to be challenged in court sooner rather than later. It is denying citizens their "distinct ballots" under the various legal provisions relevant to the Electoral College process, such as 12th amendment. An elector cannot give my vote based upon the will of others.

IF this law was to go into effect and a state actually awarded electors to someone other than who their voters selected, they are denying their voters the right to vote for their electors. As a result under Section 2 of 14A those states would lose seats in Congress.pic.twitter.com/x0UakkMffM

So, if 52% vote for cand A and the state awards electors to cand B, they in essence deny voters who voted for cand A the right to vote. Lets say the 52% who voted for cand A make up 30% of the eligible voters in the state. The state would lose 30% of it's seats in Congress.
