Let’s see what Jesus has to say. Both Matthew 22:34-38 & Matthew 6:24, speak to the most important commandment & therefore the most grievous sin. That would be idolatry via the love of money. Christ clearly states & the Commandments are written to emphasize what is MOST important

This means that being wealthy might be a sin in certain circumstances. Luke 18:18-30, 1 Timothy 6:3-10, Mark 10:25

(Matthew 22:37-39) "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. {38} This is the first and great commandment. {39} And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
