Okay I get the basic definition of the electoral college. But what I don't understand is how it actually works. Like my state usually votes blue. I vote red but it doesn't matter because my state is blue. My vote would then be considered the popular vote? I'm confused...

So how it works is that when you vote. Your vote is going to an elect a representative for your party in your state who on turn has the power to vote how ever they want. It makes perfect sense if you don't think about it for to long

It's not republicans backing a canidate claiming free education and healthcare, Bernie Sanders. I bet if asked what conservatism is you'd quote from the media or universities. Conservatism is small government and self reliance. Democrats think government should take care of us
