You route the money that's going to private insurers into one universal fund and cut out the insurance company middlemen. Problem solved. No need for higher taxes.

It’s working fine for me. Alberta Health care saved my life and my son’s and I wasn’t bankrupted in the process. Stop comparing our system to yours.

Let's remember.. many Canadians today lived in the US style of healthcare until Tommy Douglas fought the AMA to make sure all Canadians were covered. He saw how a system of private health services kept ppl in poverty while sustaining a class system of benefit to the wealthiest.

I used to live there. The healthcare is trash and the taxes are enormous. Not to mention sales tax is 13%

That's what we keep saying here in Brazil: there's no free coffee!! All public services are paying by our taxes. And it costs almost 40% of our money for year. We can get better stuff, like Americans, because all of the taxes raising the prices. It's a tough life.
