And the healthcare you get isn't exactly industry leading. Months on a waiting list to get a doctor, months on a waiting list for surgery, months on a waiting list for a specialist

Additionally, just seeing a family Dr (if you can get one), several weeks to get an appointment. Then the Dr sees you for 5 minutes, and on your way with an Rx if you’re lucky

I am not an advocate for this, but the cost issue is more nuanced. At present companies, or individuals, pay for health care. Assuming current GDP of $21.2T, 16% of GDP on healthcare, the amount currently spent is $3.392T. We are just shifting this spending to the government...

Now, this is not necessarily good. As many others have said below, there are massive problems with gov't run health care. I lived in the UK, and it was not pretty. Private delivery is definitely better. We have issues, but government run is not the answer. Cost is not the issue.

That argument isn’t very compelling because the people all excited about it have massive debt due to a series of useless degrees & largely live w/the parents. The promise of free crap makes them giddy. They could care less about the tax increase b/c they’ll never be taxpayers.

Govt never does anything efficiently. Govt will take away ur choices. Quality of care will decline. Utopian govt care is a myth. US free market has produced the best healthcare in the world. It is declining, tho, due to leftists working so hard to socialize it.
