As surgeon, in 1985 I billed and was paid $1200 for gall bladder surgery. Now, no matter what I bill, I get paid $350, and cannot bill for the balance. Hospitals and insurance co.' s are doing great. Doctors are not. Fix the real problem.

Another word: Competition Price should be fixed regardless of insurance provider or lack thereof. Insurance should not be needed for routine and preventative care.

I'm not even sure how the clip relates to what this post states. But I guess based on the logic of clip, it seems price transparency would lead to more 'deadly delayed care'.
