Need the fire department? It's free! Need the police department? It's free! Need an ambulance? That'll be a few thousand dollars.

Price transparency is probably great for shareholders also since they can project how much profits will be and in American healthcare shareholders are #1 patient to take care of because they are why we have innovation and jobs instead of socialist death panels!

Taxes pay for public services not individual care. We should be able to afford it. The question is why is so darn expensive?

Government, for all its trying, has done nothing but raise the cost of everything it involves itself with. If you negotiate with the Dr’s face to face the cost is tremendously less than with insurance and government healthcare. Price gouging is real.

There wouldn’t be a crisis if you hadn’t left waiters or clerks at hardware stores out of market. Or pre existing conditions out. As for price indexes and indices and drugs or biomedical tools and medical procedures that becomes more complicated.

Give healthcare private or public to foreign nationals and Americans will demand more healthcare services and lower costs.

Nobody is saying healthcare should be free—unless you consider police and fire protection to be free. The stupidity—it burns!

You and I know this but take a look at the
#freehealthcare tag sometime - you'd be surprised how many people truly believe it would be free. - 1 more reply

Those in the 47% that are looking for the “free” healthcare ARE the ones NOT paying ANY NET Federal taxes that r NEEDED to PAY for the “free” healthcare & would require the 53% to pay even MORE for the 47% AND give up THEIR healthcare for SUBSTANDARD, GOVERNMENT healthcare!
