It makes sense to me. I don’t want to spend all my money on things that don’t work. Maybe if people concentrated more on perfecting clean energy instead of better phone cameras we could have a better way to store it. Maybe one day.

Land cost is expensive and likely not included in the cost analysis. Siting solar photovoltaic in the desert is ideal but requires long transmission infrastructure to get electricity to users. So, solar's affordability depends on complex factors.
