This all depends on how you divide your “ism.” Nazi ideology was a form of hyper-nationalism put in place by a totalitarian regime. Communism is an economic system that in the examples you give was put in place by totalitarian regimes. It’s the totalitarianism, not the economics.

It's only 30 years since people trying to escape communist country were torn apart and killed by dogs of communist border units. This happened just couple of miles from place where I lived as a kid.
