Reading the discussion and I agree with the main thrust, that rationality and moral goodness are very dinstinctly different and often not directly related. Rationality also seems to rely a bit on who is deciding, what they seek to achieve, and the context of the situation.

In most situations, the purpose of the test is to gauge the student's mastery, and to cheat is to indicate mastery that may not exist. It is therefore dishonest, and therefore morally wrong if honesty is a virtue.
